Cardwell Van Park is within easy walking distance to the local shops, bowling green, golf course and country club. The R.S.L. is nearby and it is a short stroll to the beach and jetty where you can take in the sights or wet a line and experience the fishing that Cardwell is famous for.

Girramay National Park
Girrimay National park has two sections to our north. Edmund Kennedy section is just five kilometres north. The wetlands, mangroves and coastal environments of Edmund Kennedy provide visitors with opportunities for birdwatching, a picnic by the sea or a walk to the beach.
Murray falls section is twenty two kilometres north and 20 kilometres west. The clear waters of the Murray River cascade over boulders into rock pools in the picturesque picnic spot of Murray Falls. Spectacular scenery and great spot for a dip to cool down.
